DAISY AND SEVEN | Say hello to "Ship's Dogs in Training"

We collected these two as tiny seven week old puppies, from Gloucester, in January 2003. Raising four legged sisters is not easy - they fought like demons when they were younger and still have the occasional scrap.

The decision to buy two brand new puppies was not a comfortable one as our previous bull terriers were both rescues. However, after a great deal of consideration, we decided to put the whole "holistic lifestyle" thing to the test and the only way to do this properly was to start from scratch. Cyd undoubtedly had a depleted immune system when we took her on and ultimately made amazing progress on a regime of natural food, herbal supplements and homeopathy. We couldn't help but wonder if a bull terrier, born to a similarly treated mother and raised on this regime, would be healthy...in comparison to many dogs of this breed.

And so Daisy and Seven have been brought up on a natural diet with herbal supplements. They have not been vaccinated but have received a homeopathic nosode instead. They have been treated with homeopathy and condition-specific supplements where required and have only visited the vet to be neutered and once after a serious sibling scrap. This natural regime has resulted in two extremely healthy animals not withstanding one or two minor ailments (see below).
