Depleted immune system of our bull terrier breed:

• Any dog/bitch who comes into the above category can hardly be classed as “healthy”.

• During such “vulnerable” times how many of these dogs and bitches do the vets actually vaccinate?

• Many of the bull terrier breed are born with an already depleted immune system and therefore, according to the Manufacturers’ Data Sheets much of our breed should never, ever be vaccinated or boostered either as a puppy or as adults.

• The orthodox vaccine v homeopathic nosode (oral vaccine pill) debate has now been going on for several years or more - something is making people ask questions and speak out, not only in our breed but in the dog world overall !!!

• The subject needs to be addressed now - especially with developments such as the rabies vaccine.

• As the overall health of our precious bull terrier breed continues to deteriorate, this is a valid subject to be looked into and investigated. We, the breed, must do the investigating. We cannot wait any longer while the veterinary world do their own research. All branches of the breed need to join together on this and investigate... welfare dogs / bitches... breed council... all regional clubs, committee and members’ dogs / bitches... all bull terrier lovers and owners.. all breeders !!!

• Our very special breed are here because of us, therefore we certainly should be doing our best for them either through love or duty because, after all, the bull terrier breed is only as healthy as its sickest dog or bitch, or as healthy as its sickest stud dog or brood bitch.
